CNN Reports Opening Bell Refuses To Ring at NYSE

In what can either be viewed as a touch of poetic justice, or a harbinger of doom, the opening bell on Wall Street malfunctioned today, and refused to ring.
After a bit of confusion on the trading floor (“WTF – is the market open or not?!”), trading commenced.
