Monroe County PSPCA update – the animals are safe

After a white-knuckle day in Monroe County, the animals are safe, no thanks to PSPCA.

Monroe SPCA Closes

Monroe County’s SPCA shelter closed for good Thursday with little notice.
It was an emotional day at the shelter in Stroud Township.
Officials with the SPCA in Philadelphia said lack of funds, lack of leadership and little community support led to the last-minute decision to close the shelter.
